Second Semester Freshman looking to possibly transfer!!!

Hello College Confidential I am a second semester Freshman at the University of Connecticut and i am looking to transfer elsewhere on the east coast. I am really unhappy here and especially hate the weather and the location of the campus and lack of activities to do. I am looking to transfer up to a higher ranking school hopefully closer to a city.

My Stats:
High school GPA: 3.5uw and 3.7w took mostly honors and 4 Ap classes

College GPA first semster: 3.6 and it should be up to at least a 3.7 overall at the end of this semester(15 credits both semesters)

Price range: up to 30 grand give or take 2 thousand

SAT scores: 1800 620 CR 580 m 600 W

Ecs: Saxophone in the school band, community service hours, law society, international relations and red cross club( more things in hs)

Additional Info:
URM Male
Studying International relations/ Political Science
From NJ

Um…I really haven’t heard of any schools that are about 30k except state schools these days.

bump any chances at schools like villanova or miami?

Take a look at the CBs data on these schools. For instance, at Villanova, they accept a lower percentage of transfers than fr applicants:

[College Search - Villanova University - Admission](<a href=“College Search - BigFuture | College Board”>College Search - BigFuture | College Board)

and you are at about the 25% range for the SAT of accepted students:

Take a look at other schools of interest and see where you stand as far as stats.
