second semester freshman year gpa

hello everyone!

i had a quick question. i want to transfer to a top school and application for transfer is due march 1. decisions are mailed out june 1. my second semester freshman year ends first week of may. are my second semester freshman year grades going to count for my application? i read that many schools weigh college gpa much higher than high school gpa if there is more than 26 credits (i will have 32 college credits by the end of the second semester), and i need that weightage due to low (3.1) high school gpa.

any advice or comments will be appreciated. thank you

My D1s school also ended early, so she sent a copy of her unofficial grade report to schools because the official transcripts would not have been available in time. I can’t say for sure whether they helped or not, but it couldn’t hurt to send them something as they might take it into consideration.

thanks entomom!

anyone else? does anyone know how much the high school record will count against me as an incoming sophomore transfer?
