Second semester grades- are they taken into account?

<p>I plan to attend for transfer for fall 2011. The spring semester at my current school doesn't end until early May, well after the fall transfer application deadline for most schools. So are second semester grades not taken into account in most admissions decisions, or do schools wait until they get the grades to make a decision?</p>

<p>Final grades generally aren’t considered, but schools will ask for your midterm grades, which can influence their decision.</p>

<p>Oh, thank you, that makes sense. That’s good because otherwise I feel like far too much weight would be put on the GPA from one semester (because that’s all they have to look at).</p>
