You could probably get 4 C's and a B and be fine.

^^are both of u serious!!!????

I've been slacking since 8th grade, what.

oh, I'm having the same problem. It feels like, so insignificant when you only have 5 months of school left. But I'm trying to keep them up so I don't look bad to the schools I applied to.

Yeah, senior year is a joke. I've been fighting against it since last May, but I succumbed to the disease in November! Alas. High school is ridiculous; I don't even graduate until June 26th. :[

(My grades totally went down the crapper this quarter, too. Quarter 1, I had a 3.7 GPA; quarter 2, probably a 3.2. Eurgh.)

Oh I KNOW!
My course load includes Calc, Physics and such. It is soooo hard to try and do this crap when my mind is like GRADUATION !!!!
I already got into my dream college, got an awsome FA package estimate and have my summer job at camp all set.
And I can't drop my classes for blow offs because it will look bad. UGH!!!
Evil second semester!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ugh, today was my first day as a second semester senior, and it was really difficult to wake up this morning. Now, I'm on the computer, completely ignoring all the chapters I have to read for bio, english, econ, and spanish. yuck

One day I'm going to do some research into whether or not this rescind fear is just a generated tool to keep kids at least half-assing it, or whether it is true that you are at a truly serious, probable threat of being rescinded if you go from, say 3.9->3.4 and dont have a viable excuse/reason.

Because as much as teachers tout it and colleges threaten, I've never seen it happen, except once, but that was EXTREME, like As then CCCCC-. I have been told that most admissions commitees pride themselves in their ability to put together the best class and most importantly, NOT get fooled by smooth-embelishers or fake-passioners. Admissions officers dont want to admit they made a mistake and they want to have faith in their top picks. (I'm mainly talking about CC top colleges and Ivys here, no idea about publics).

I think that this great fear of the rescind that keeps me doing 5 minutes of HW instead of 0, is just a hoax. But I'm not taking the risk. And you'll notice from my opening line that I'm, as a senior should, procrastinating the initiation of any type of research.

Basically, please work less this term and have more fun - just try not to mess it up too bad. And for gods sakes, what you don't want to do is post pictures of you doing alchy/drugs on an open facebook page that a college might catch wind of! Or getting into any behavioral issues/fights/vandalism. That's the type of crap that will break you.

From what I've seen, most schools seem to require that your GPA stay above either 3.0 or 2.0 and that you pass all your classes. So as a general goal, aim for a B and try to have more A's than C's.

Yep, I finally made to the time for senioritis. I can procrastinate without so much guilt, and get more sleep. But ironically, I am really tired and sleepy right now because I just simply can't go to sleep.

I love that there are so many juniors in my bio class freaking out about the AP test and SATs, while I get to sit back and laugh. Delicious.

my senioritis bug was inspired to infect me on inauguration day..i swear, i haven't wanted to do anything since.

Day 7 today for me.
