Argh, I have to not let myself have senioritis, since I have to do well in my IB exams in May.

I also have a compulsive need to do my homework, even if it is last minute. Not cool.

just finished midterms and I AM PUMPED to finally slack off (and not feel too bad about it).

So my school sucks.
We have to do a research paper in Feb/March. It's like ten pages!!!!!
Do they not understand that by that time we are pretty much shut down?!?!?!

I FINISHED MY FINAL today!!!!

Senioritis is has FINALLY taken OVER. I no longer care if I get a B. :)

As long as I stay on honor roll for the next two quarters I will be fine. I used to want to be Val but now I am just like "lalalala second semester senior year yayayay!"

Blondeisbetter...If you have a chance to be Val, why not go for it?

It is something I think you might regret later on in life. It is an acheivement and no one can ever take it away from you.

I thought that I had senioritis when I was a junior, but it got WAY worse my senior year.

And now that my midyear reports are done and the first semester is over, I'm afraid that I might lose my will to even do anything.

It's so funny that you guys say "OK I officially DON'T CARE AT ALL! I might even get 5 A's and 2 B's this quarter"

If you really had a legit case of senioritis(inflammation of the senior?) you would cut the amount of work you do per week to ~0 and get a few Cs, a few Bs, and an A or two.
Colleges won't rescind unless you fail something or get numerous Ds (Of course going from straight As to B/C grades looks worse than going from mixed, but decent, grades to Bs/Cs, but it's damn hard to get a college that's accepted you to rescind)

Agreed. The only kids that have got contacted by their college's admissions office at my school got Fs, and I don't even think they ended up rescinding their acceptance.

Yes senioritis is setting in, but I could literally do nothing and still get mostly A's with maybe a B or two (not bragging, my school is just pretty easy).

But I really think I should try to finish with all A's to keep my valedictorian status.

^ that sucks. My school stops factoring grades for rank the first semester. So, I'm all good to go.

Not everybody's school has reached the end of the first semester yet.
