<p>I never think, "I hope that [insert current valedictorian/really good friend's name here] does worse than I do/ I do better than her!" I'd be really happy if I ended up #1, but #3 is good enough for me. I can honestly say that I'd be proud if I could say that my friend was valedictorian.
However, I do sometimes find myself bitterly thinking that if I didn't play a broken clarinet for my tape test freshman year, I'd be valedictorian... and then I catch myself and hang my head in shame =( I mean, that's not hideously vicious, but it's still not the nicest thing to think.</p>
<p>eh i guess im just not as nice as you to be honest. o well, ill just be a vicious journalist:D yay. but really, i am nice, if competitive.</p>
<p>Luckily, my school only tells what decile you're in. Otherwise some people might mysteriously fall down the stairs.</p>
<p>The sad thing is that it probably would happen.</p>
<p>I'm so far from the top that it doesn't even matter to me.</p>
