secrecy..lies...deception

^ That's true.

But I have to admit, in the real world, there are instances when being too nice doesn't get you anywhere. Ofcourse, it's not a good thing. but it's true.

I never think, "I hope that [insert current valedictorian/really good friend's name here] does worse than I do/ I do better than her!" I'd be really happy if I ended up #1, but #3 is good enough for me. I can honestly say that I'd be proud if I could say that my friend was valedictorian.
However, I do sometimes find myself bitterly thinking that if I didn't play a broken clarinet for my tape test freshman year, I'd be valedictorian... and then I catch myself and hang my head in shame =( I mean, that's not hideously vicious, but it's still not the nicest thing to think.

eh i guess im just not as nice as you to be honest. o well, ill just be a vicious journalist:D yay. but really, i am nice, if competitive.

Luckily, my school only tells what decile you're in. Otherwise some people might mysteriously fall down the stairs.

The sad thing is that it probably would happen.

I'm so far from the top that it doesn't even matter to me.
