<p>I know it is a relatively new major. I was wondering what people think of it and how is the job market?</p>
<p>I'm planning on double majoring in IST and SRA. My sister is currently a junior with IST and SRA majors. I think SRA helped her land her internship last year with the DOD and this year in NYC with a financial intstitution. I'm really hoping the need for security and technology results in a good job outlook. I know when you graduate w/ a major in SRA you receive an NSA certifigate as well. Hopefully, by the time we graduate the major becomes more prevalent as well because a lot of people don't yet realize what the major entails. I think the major is definitely up-and-coming.</p>
<p>what did your sister do at the DOD?</p>
<p>It was more of a research opportunity at Georgia Tech. through the DOD. I think she worked on some type of programming (Cuda maybe?)....The only thing I don't like about this major is that I don't know what we'll be doing exactly...lol. I'm hoping I get to find out what she does this summer so I know what I'm getting myself into!</p>
