I would like major in Marketing preferably in a rather large city. I’ve looked into universities in NewYork and California and found them to be too expensive. If anybody has any recommendations please share! growing up ive always been an outgoing and intuitive kid so I’m trying to find a school that would provide the most opportunities in correlation with my natural expertise (people).
What is your State of residence?
What is your gender? There is one all-women’s school that might appeal to you in Boston called Simmons.
You might also try Drew University. It’s on the commuter train line that feeds into NYC – the greater NYC area. They also have NYC-focused programs.
To check the cost to YOU, use the net price calculator on their websites. If you don’t want to run those for a lot of schools, you may want to consult the website called College Navigator. It’s run by the government. Find a college. Then click on the Net Price tab. That will break down average cost by income bracket. After you find a short list of schools you can then run the Net Price Calculators.
Wagner College
Bentley
Some of the SUNYs apparently are reasonably priced for OOS students.
Juniata
U of Maine at Orono is currently matching in-state flagship tuition.
University of the Pacific possibly
Union in Schenectedy – has excellent FA and is on the Amtrak line about 2 hours outside of NYC. You’d be set up for internships in NYC there too, IMHO
Maybe RIT – Rochester Institute of Technology – RIT looks a little expensive compared with other schools but it has coop programs that allow you to earn money while in school, significantly cutting the cost – https://saunders.rit.edu/undergraduate/majors-minors/what-is-marketing#
Also Drexel in Philidelphia is known for coop programs. I’m not sure what it offers for marketing but again it’s well developed there and it can cut your costs, also you get real experience while in school.
Submit your SAT, not your ACT.
What’s your budget?
You’d have a decent shot at University of Iowa, Iowa State, University of Nebraska Lincoln, St Thomas or Hamline in MN, Concordia Moorhead, IUPUI, Youngstown State?
Drexel, U. Mass/Lowell, U. of Cincinnati (all are known for their coop programs)
Business (also with coop, I believe): Belmont U. (Nashville), Bentley (outside Boston, but perhaps a tough admit for you with your stats), Butler (Indianapolis), Creighton (Omaha), Endicott (MA)
Here’s an outside-the-box one: Lake Forest College, a small private school in one of Chicago’s wealthiest north shore suburbs. It has a business major, though, and a good one, perhaps because the Lake Forest School of Management (a separate graduate school) helps boost LFC’s rep for business, at least in the Chicagoland area.
Alaska is part of the WUE. You’d get a break on tuition at those schools.

I’m male and a first gen in America (from Guadeloupe in the Caribbean)
What’s your budget? SUNYs are $30k for OOS students, so I assume it’s less than that. You can take the $5500 federal student loan. How much can your parents contribute?
