I am reapplying to Fairfield university this upcoming semester and I would like to ask about my potential acceptance into the school and possibly some advice for my application.
Fairfield is my first choice school and I am so nervous about reapplying…
I didn’t do very well in high school due to personal issues that I had to overcome with family, so they were not as good as they were during my freshman year. Basically from sophomore year until junior year my grades had slipped. Senior year I pulled my grades up again and made high honors, and I am doing well in college now. Although I have one W from last year and a F in a class I am retaking next semester. This was my freshman year in community college. My grades are good right now, and so far, I have all A’s in my classes. My adviser has told me that if I retake the one class I didn’t do well in and pass with a good grade, the college may overlook it. This class also didn’t have anything to do with my major, which also may help my chances of it being overlooked.
With all of that, what are my current chances of being accepted into Fairfield? Also, is there any advice for my college applications?
With all A’s or B’s in my classes, a high GPA, with three extra curricular activities, three-four recommendation letters from high school and college teachers, and good solid essays-one for the common app and one I’m writing to explain the reasoning behind my major and minor, do I have at least somewhat of a chance of getting into Fairfield? I don’t want to get any hopes up.
