Selecting major

My math scores are not good at all (580, 610 sat and 25, 26, ACT). I want to major in science. Do you see the issue? I'm applying to some selective places. Would it be wise for me to select a non-math/science major if I'm not bound to it? Like if I don't apply into the major? I don't want to get rejected just because my math scores are much lower than my other scores. And no, I can't retake it. This may sound desperate but even at the honors colleges I'm applying to, I'm afraid this will hold me back. And I'm actually interested in my "secondary" major (Spanish), so what would you advise me to do? :(

ya i got a 670 us history...but a 560 mathIIC...so i'm majoring in history. You might as well play up your strong points..

I guess so. I did get a 34 in reading ACT, and 670 isn't bad for critical reading. I know this may not be what others would do, but I'd rather "play up my strengths" if I can easily switch. Since they usually look for some correspondence between grades/scores and major.
