I'm done with my A'levels, with A's in math and chemistry, two B's in physics and further mathematics and a C in Biology. I've been working as a grade six history teacher in my school for the last few months, and I'm on an internship at a lifestyle magazine in my country. That is about everything I can put up on my resume. I cannot afford a college without aid. What colleges do you think I could apply to? Any suggestions? I'm a little confused because the ones I've been looking up are either too selective, too expensive, or they don't offer financial aid. Sometimes they don't have what I'm looking for- an engineering department. I have a 1900 in my SAT and I'm repeating the exam this October, hoping to get a better score. I know Cornell is a long shot, but I'm leaving it up to chance. And I'm still unsure if it's the right decision.

You shouldn’t apply to Cornell if you need significant aid. You need to look at the 6 schools that are need blind and meet full need for international students. Unfortunately, those are all extremely selective, so you need to dramatically raise your SAT score.

Amherst College
Harvard
Dartmouth
Princeton
Yale
MIT

Thank you!
Yes! So I repeated my SAT and now I have a 2040 in SAT 1 and a 1500/1600 in SAT Subject Test.
I already applied to USF and I got in with 70% scholarship, but my parents want me to apply to a few better places to see what my chances might be. I’m not sure if I’m up to it, though. Besides, most universities have closed their application deadlines anyway. Should I complete my application to WPI? What are my chances?
