Didn’t get the letter from Hutton regarding scholarships in the mail at all, and we are (fairly) local.
Does that mean I received nothing or could it still be coming?

Same here, just content with the max automatic for instate I guess…
I think only some of the SSA scholarships went to Hutton. Some were sent to different departments. I would call the scholarship office and ask if yours went to Hutton. Then call Hutton and see if everything has been sent out. I thought you received notification either way.
Hey i am out of state. I got rejected for selective scholarship by hutton honours college. Does that mean i am rejected for selective scholarship from kelley too? I am Direct Admit to kelley
@110085 No, but the Kelley scholarships are extremely hard to get but I wouldn’t count on it
I was informed when i called that my application wasnt even sent to kelley for consideration because i “wasnt what they were looking for”, but I still got 6k from SSA, so i would imagine it is incredibly difficult to get a kelley scholarship. Kelley also offers scholarships that begin after freshman year if you keep a high enough GPA, so dont be sicouraged by the lack of money up front.
Do you get a rejection letter if you don’t get any SSA/Hutton $$$?
We did get a “welcome to Collins LLC” letter so the RPS Sorting Hat part is done at least.
@turbo93 I emailed IU about the HHC scholarship and about hearing nothing back about it.
They had nothing to say, just gave me the HHC phone number to contact them directly and told me to ask them. If you’d like that phone number if it isn’t available publicly, PM me.
same here. no news on SSA
Haha…just got an envelope in the mail from IU and got all excited. Turned out to be info on the Global Village LLC, which actually sounds really nice, but not quite as exciting as a selective scholarship. Maybe tomorrow…
Got the mailing from HHC today.
They offered me nothing. Fantastic.
I’m assuming they sent out the notifications of offers before the ones without an offer.
Goose egg from Mr. Hutton here as per official letter. Good thing for the max automatic instate + ho-hum NMF…
finally heard and got nothing. He got Dean’s 11K/year for OOS and into kelley ACE.
DD got zero from Hutton which may mean IU is off of her list. She’s OOS and got Deans Scholarship, 11K, and School Global Int’l Studies direct admit Scholarship 3k. Even with these, IU is still not affordable for her with her tuition/r&b/books COA after deducting scholarships just over 30k (I don’t use personal expenses and travel). She needs to hit 27k for a school to be affordable, we won’t qualify for any FA except loans, which we won’t take.
Trying to research whether she’s in the running for anything further through any other scholarships. Based on my reading of the IU’s scholarship page, once she’s heard from the the three I’ve mentioned, that is it. Please let me know if I’ve missed something.
We received word today of an Arts & Sciences $1k/year and some other scholarship that gives you money for study abroad and laptop. Being instate that basically means room and board only for us. Oh well.
turbo93, was that last scholarship you mentioned the Herbert Presidential Scholarship? That’s the one with a free lap top and study abroad + additional $? Only 70 or so of those offered to IN high school seniors and that’s a premier one.
That’s the one, but as we speak DD and I are involved in a deep discussion of $$$ specifics, since Dr. Herbert’s operatives have not disclosed details in the letter. I’ve seen numbers from $6k to $12k a year but nothing specific on the IUB website.
I’ve seen as low as $3k on the IU site under the Kelley direct admit where it mentions the Herbert but amounts awarded may be fafsa driven on what amount they give, not sure, but congrats, a very nice honor. Having met a few of the HPS students on campus last fall during a scholarship weekend, I was impressed. Congrats again…
Thanks, she’s a great kid, a true scholar type. Her mom and I are planning to be decked out in Purdue wear on moving day (we’re both Purdue engineering grads) but we’re happy for her!
@turbo93 Boooo!!! My dad is an IU grad and he said that I could go to Purdue if I wanted, but my mom would have to sign the checks
