<p>Okay, so I tutor little kids regularly and I also play the piano for solo singers and instrumentalists once in a while. I put these jobs as "self-employed" on my common app form .. and now i'm trying to register for CSS PROFILE and i'm panicking because i've never done a tax return .. does it mean im a criminal or something ?! because on my common app, i put down that im working.. but since i havent done a tax return ever, i put 'did not, and not required, to file .." for one of the Qs on CSS PROFILE .. so then would the colleges think that im lying or soemthing ?? pleeeease help !</p>
<p>Most (probably all) kids that cut grass or babysit on a regular basis don't file taxes either, and I don't think they are sweating about whether the school believes they worked. I wouldn't worry about it unless you really played it up as a business.</p>
