I was wondering if it is possible to self study for the AP Art History exam next year. I just completed AP World History and if i got a 4 or 5 on the exam, im thinking of self studying for AP Art History. Id have the summer and all next school year to study for the test. Is this possible? How hard is it?

Yes it is possible to self-study APAH.

It will definitely be difficult if you start studying too late, which a lot of people tend to do. If you spend all summer and all next school year studying, then you will definitely be prepared.

Don’t do it. Study an easier history, like European history.

I’m in the same situation as the OP. Do you think I can do well if I start now for next year?

Start now and you should be fine. There is a lot of information to study, but starting this far in advance should put you at an advantage if you start studying hard from now until the exam.

Thank you byubound!

I would definitely look for the suggestions other posters have put as far as materials to get for studying.

I’m sure it will be easier than self-studying Physics B, which I and a few others are attempting, but still very difficult. I suggest starting early, like now.

Here’s another thread that’s quite useful
