Self-Study AP Chemistry? currently in Hon. Chem

I’m currently a 9th grader in high school. I’m taking Honors Chemistry and Algebra 2 Honors (math skills covered) and I am considering the option to self study for the AP chemistry exam in May. I want to self study because I plan to take AP biology next year and then AP Physics my junior and senior year but still take the AP Chem exam. I am aware that there is a lot of material to cover and I am still researching to see if this is the best option for me. When’s a good time to start and what should I learn first to last? If anyone can give me their opinions, experiences, resources, and tips on how to self study that would be very much appreciated! Any bits of information help. Thanks

Don’t. AP Chemistry is already hard enough with an excellent teacher, but self-studying? You are just begging for a 1 on the exam.
If I am correct, Honors Chemistry is only 1/2 of AP Chemistry. Please don’t.

It may just be my school but our class covers most of the material on the AP chemistry exam. I am planning on doing the same thing that symmbowL is, and I don’t see any problem with it.
If possible, I think I would suggest asking your chemistry teacher directly for help or guided study. If you find class to be particularly slow or unchallenging, then use that time to jump ahead.
As of now, you should diagnose how much chemistry you already have in your toolbox and how much more you need to know by test date.
