Self-Study AP Physics?

Hi everyone,

I was thinking of self-studying for AP physics. I know my teacher for regular physics next year is going to be horrible (as in she really has no idea how to teach physics), so I thought I would just try to teach myself physics, actually learn something, and learn it well enough for the AP exam. I've never taken a physics class before, so given that, what are your opinions? Will it be too hard? Should I just stick with regular physics since I still need physics as a requirement? Thanks in advance.

which physics exam are you self-studying for? how much math have you had?

well i guess u will have to take the physics course anyways since it is a required course. I would suggest u to take AP Physics B since it doesn't involve calculus and it is just what u study in ur regular physics class + some more.

Depends on which exam and how good at math you are. C can be a real pain to S-S for, especially with all them fancy calcs stuff. :-P

Oh okay. Yeah, I haven't had calc yet. I'm suppose to be taking it next year so I suppose that doesn't run too well if I don't have a calc background yet. Thanks guys!

Yeah, go for B.
