Self-study chemistry

Should I self-study chemistry? It's actually not self-study because I'm taking a chemistry class but the teacher said that the course doesn't prepare you for the sat chemistry.

Bump, can somebody give me suggestions? Is it hard to self-study for the sat chemistry?

The SAT chemistry should be a bit harder than your chemistry class. However, if you get prep books, you can self study it fine!

It’s not a terribly difficult test, but you definitely need to study.

Most people recommend Barrons for SAT chem. Apparently it overprepares you, so I think I will use it this year.
Does anybody know how many prac. tests/ pages in the book? :D

Not sure how many tests but I believe it’s 3 or more and from what i remember compared to barrons’ other books i think the sat2 chem one is relatively thin.

Just looked it up on amazon-four. haha thanks though :)

go for it.

and just a warning, the sparknotes SAT II chem. test online is completely free (it’s what I used to prep), but the tests are WAY harder. I got a 590 on it and a 750 on the real thing :)
