Self-Studying AP French?

Is it possible to self-study AP French and get a 4 or 5? I didn't sign up for AP French at my school because there would have been too many classes on my schedule and I would have had to drop lunch, but something came up so now I actually have a free period but it's too late to sign up for it. So would it be possible to self-study or is it too hard to self-study languages?

It’s possible. I’ve heard of such cases on college confidential. Try looking at this thread for encouragement: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/world-languages/1185594-how-non-native-scored-5-ap-span-lang-self-study.html</a>
The main thing that you’ll have to understand is that you’re studying for an exam: meaning that there’s a set structure you’ll have to understand and master. I highly advise reading the course description. Golden rule for studying any ap exam: perfect practice makes perfect. Do this consistently for immersion is the key to fluency.think and act like a native. Get an AP french review book for exercises. Keep a journal, review grammar (French.about.com is awesome), study transition words for writing, read French articles, chat with a native online. And for the love of God, DON’T attempt to study 3 days before the exam!
