Self studying three APs, have some questions

this is my first time self studying ap courses. i would like to self study ap us gov, comparative gov, and biology next year. i plan to get through the three courses during my summer, and then just consistently review the material and go through review books during the 2015-2016 school year. however, i have some questions.

  1. have you ever self studied an ap course? if so, how did you go about studying it?
  2. what are some recommended textbooks for us gov and comparative gov? i think i’m set on “biology 11th edition” by sylvia s. mader for ap bio, but if you want to recommend another textbook for that course please don’t hesitate.
  3. what are some good review books for each of these courses?

thanks so much!

Barron’s for AP us gov. Don’t get a text for gov (Barron’s “review” over prepares you)
Cliffnotes for AP bio

I have self study for many ap tests and it went perfectly fine, just maintain diligence in your studies. i have barrons for ap government. there isnt a barrons for comparative government due to the low number of people that take it (i was the only one in my high school to take it two years ago lol) however, there is a review book i bought for the class online that had the same free response of the test. i would be more than happy to sell them to you since i have no use for them anymore.
