self-teaching myself some precalc/calc?

not 100% sure where to put this but i think it might be appropriate here....

so i'm bored this summer and didn't realize there were summer programs available for me until it was too late....all i've been doing are some 1day/week classes on what i find interesting. in the math course, the teacher keeps having to bring up some basic calculus and since i have no background in it, i get a little lost. any good sites or books i should use to get a solid understanding? i have to take precal next year anyways so might as well get ahead now.... :)

I’m self-studying precalc this summer, and it’s not all that bad. If you have solid alg 2 foundation, it should be really easy. Anyways, Khan Academy and Patrick JMT are always good websites if you get stuck on concepts. In terms of books, I have Barron’s E-Z Precalculus (it’s really confusing, so I’m not really using it much) and the textbook Algebra and Trigonometry by Cynthia Young (It’s not that well known, but it’s uncluttered and has really clear explanations). Yeah, just watch the videos and do a lot of practice problems and you’ll be fine :D

just get the standard calculus by larson textbook (used should be cheep)

and precalc = any standard algebra/trig book would do
