<p>Has anyone done Semester at Sea or has been on programs to it?</p>
<p>I've been wanting to go for awhile and wanted to see if there are any programs like it out there! :)</p>
@Niquii77 I just happened to see this. My DD is doing SAS this semester and absolutely loves it. She highly recommends it.
What will happen to the program when the affiliation with UVa ends?
Probably another university will take sponsorship. UVa only became the sponsor of SaS in 2006; before that, it was University of Pittsburgh, and before that it was University of Colorado, and before that it was Chapman University. Likely some other university will take up the sponsorship of the program, and the professors come from a lot of different universities across the country.

When I see my DD in a couple of weeks I will see if they told the students anything about the future plans. If I hear something I will post it.
It is not cheap, but I will say that she has literally had the experience of a lifetime.
