Semester/Quarter units - So confused!

The community college I'm planning to sign up for has fall, summer, winter, and spring classes, so that means it's based on the Quarter system, correct?

In order to transfer to a UC, I need 90 quarter units. Each class is probably worth 3-5 credits. So I need to take how many classes each quarter in order to transfer within 1.5 years?

EDIT: If I got 3 on my AP Biology exam from high school, does it count towards the 90 quarter units?

If you want to finish in 5 quarters (1.67 years): 90 / 5 = 18 credit hours per quarter; or 6 3-credit classes; or 3 5-credit classes and 1 3-credit class.

If you want to finish in 4 quarters (1.33 years): 90 / 4 = 22.5 credit hours per quarter; or 3-credit classes and 1 5-credit class; or 4 5-credit classes and 1 3-credit class.

It’s depend on your school.
