Transferring from multiple CC's using different systems (semester/quarter

Hello Everyone!

I plan on transferring to UC Davis next year in the fall (hopefully I'll sign my TAG this year in September). My question was regarding transferring units from multiple colleges. I have units spanned out over 5 different CC's, 1 of which is on the quarter system. I was wondering how this would all add up when transferring. Currently I have 37 semester units and 11 Quarter units in total. Doing the math of 1.5 units x semester units, I would end up with 55.5 quarter units. So adding 55.5 with the original 11 quarter units I have gives me 66.5 quarter units, which means I would need 23.5 quarter units to transfer at 90 quarter units. (roughly 6 classes). However, when I do it the opposite way around (4 quarter units into 3 semester units) and convert quarter units to semester I get 47 semester units, which only leaves 13 units left (roughly 4 classes) in order to transfer at 60 semester units.

I know that UC Davis requires 60 Semester units or 90 quarter units and looks at transcripts from every CC you attended. Does anyone know how they calculate whether someone reaches the required amount of units of either 60 or 90 when they attended multiple CC's that use different systems? Would it be better if I transferred my units first from one college to another and then transfer? Or does Davis just add units from all the transcripts?

sorry if this is confusing. I hate math.

Thank you,
Sammy

4/3 is not the reciprocal of 3/2

Please keep all units on the same system. I prefer the quarter system; you know you need 23.5 quarter units to meet the minimum requirements (assuming everything is transferable). When looking at courses to take simply convert the units to quarter units; so if you take 10 semester units you then have completed 15 quarter units of the 23.5 needed. You could keep everything on the semester unit system by first changing all your completed quarter units to semester units. I don't recommend going back and forth between the systems.
