Just got my SAT: 800 math, 800 writing, 720 reading.
I’m a little upset about the reading.
Should I send these scores to any schools?
My ACT is 36 math, 35 reading, 35 writing, 34 science, I’ve already sent these everywhere.
Schools I’m applying to are: Stanford, CalPoly, Harvey Mudd, Berkeley, Rice, UT Austin, A&M, Purdue (accepted), Georgia Tech, Cornell, MIT, Princeton
Thanks
I’d send the ACT. SAT CR is pretty low.
Mudd requires ALL scores so you’ll have to send them there (and I wouldn’t worry about that score!). For schools that don’t require it, you could save money (by not sending them) if you are happy with your ACT scores.
720 on CR is low??? What???
720 is not low. Please get some perspective. #realitycheck
Just send both
I know it’s not really low, I mean compared with the ACT, would this SAT only help or hurt, especially at Stanford, Princeton, Cornell
Yeah well SAT and ACT are different tests so you can’t just compare them directly like that. And 720 is not low.
You don’t even realize that you are already in the top 15% of the nation, considering 720 to be a “low” well, what about the 650 or the 400 even?? Those scores would be off the charts. That means the lowest 75% of our nation just bombed the CR of the SAT.
I would just send the ACT.
Save yourself some money and send the scores you’re most confident about! To the schools that require all scores, send both scores. 720 is nothing to sneeze at.
Honestly, those schools would easily accept it- especially as a 2320 score is near perfect. At this level of competition, they care about character more than 80 points separating it. However, if you submit both, this will show ur proficiency in both areas (especially as many on the West Coast consider the ACT superior to the SAT). In my opinion, I would submit both.
