Are we supposed to send an official High School Transcript to UCI?

I'm not sure about this, because I think I remember reading something about this somewhere, but at the same time I'm not sure.

What about for the Cal Grant?
Or even anything else.

And how does the process go? Do our High Schools mail them off to whatever they need to be sent to, or are we supposed to collect them from our counselor and mail them individually?

Usually you submit a request to your gc to have a final transcript sent to the schools you will be attending, or likely attending.

So this is mandatory for UCI? How about for the Cal Grant, or anything else?

Not sure if its required for those schools specifically, but most colleges do require them. Or else, how would they know you graduated?

Talk with your school counselor to see if your school will send the final high school transcript to UCI, otherwise you have to ask for an official transcript and send it yourself. In my case: I have do it myself.

About the CalGrant, I believe if UCI has the transcript (to check for high school graduation and GPA) then they will give you the CalGrant award. If I’m wrong please correct me, I wondering about this too.

Yes it is mandatory.

I have a question.
it says that they received my transcript. Does it mean they already looked at it over, and found there’s nothing wrong? Wrong i mean lower GPA or false reported courses?

^, that would be my guess.

For CalGrant, usually your high school counselor is responsible for the GPA verification. You should have received a letter from CalGrant if you’re receiving one.

where does it say if they received your transcript or not?

under “my schools”

Yeah, so I had to ask a person in my HS and they did everything for me. And I checked under “My Schools” today, and sure enough they have received it! :)

GAmerkingfaiz: do you know when your school sent the transcript??

Well I filed to have it sent 6/21, so I’m guessing somewhere near that time period.
