When you register for the SAT, you have four free send-to-colleges options, right? But if I don't fill them out when registering, can I still send the four score reports later (for free)?

no fdsfsfs

My understanding is that if you don'f fill out the free ones then, you can't later. At least, I couldn't figure out how to do it. I paid for all since I didn't put any in at registration.

Yes, you can; you have like 9 days to do it after you take the exam.

However, you cannot wait until you see the scores and then send the four for free. You have to designate the schools before you see the scores.

^ That stinks. I was planning to do that for the November exam.

Darn. So I guess that the colleges see your score for sure, even if you do badly...

Wait. Can't you send the official score report along with the official transcript to
colleges later?

Yes, you can send them later, but not for free. You have to pay for them all.

The practice is so horrible. They obviously bank on the psychology of nervous students to make money. It's going to cost CB the same to mail them to schools either way. Most people aren't impulsive enough to take advantage of the free score reporting unless they're trying to make an ED test date.

Some schools will accept a copy of the official score you get in the mail. Everything about CB is a ripoff. That's what happens with a monopoly.

Wait, you can send a copy! How many schools do this, or better yet, which schools do this.

I know that JMU accepts the copy. I assume there must be others but I don't know of a list.

^ I wonder if Rutgers or Princeton accept that policy. O_O Then I could just send them my best scores..:B

Sorry, but both of those require you to send them from College Board.

Aww man..oh well. ._. Back to the drawing board.
=P I probably would've sent my scores from College Board even if they didn't require it.

What about the College of New Jersey and Rowan University? Do you know anything about those?

It will be clear from each website on the application page. I haven't found another one other than JMU that accepts the copies, but that can't be the only school.

Ah, I did some research.

Apparently the UC's and large public schools normally don't, but private schools do (like stanford).
