Do you have to acknowledge to colleges that you took courses at colleges and the grades you received in them? Do you have to send the grades to the colleges?

You don't technically have to acknowledge them if you don't want to, unless your school transcript mentions that you took courses at local colleges.

But if you report those scores on your application, you're required to send a transcript issued by the college as well with your application.

thanks. it wouldn't be considered lying then?

Most applications say "Please send a transcript from all high schools, colleges, and universities you have attended."

I don't think so...I mean, taking courses somewhere else is "doing something extra," and I don't think you're obligated to say all the extra things that you did. For example, you probably don't mention all of the ECs that you did on the application just for the sake of uniformity and neatness.

Fabricating scores for your extra courses would definitely be lying, though.

But yeah aigiqinf raises a good point. Anyhow, I don't advocate a specific way to deal with this. I mean, colleges would not know that you have taken classes elsewhere (nor would they care, generally), so I don't see a particular harm in not reporting it - but if your conscience tells you otherwise, then do as you will.
