I'm from a small public school without much money or resources. We have one AP course available as an actual class (all others are online). While completing my applications, my counselor and I wondered if it would be to my advantage or disadvantage to send our high school profile.

How do colleges actually view students in my situation?

I'd say to send it. They want to see if you challenged yourself academically, given its resources.

If the colleges are unfamiliar with the school, they may make assumtions about why you chose not to 'challenge' yourself by taking more AP classes. With the profile, they will know that you took all the classes that were available to you.
