Sending housing agreement form

did everyone send it today? Will I be ok if I send it tomorrow?

Sending it tomorrow too! You’ll be fine. Pretty exciting huh!

Ok thanks! last question lol. On the form, it says that my parents don’t have to sign since I’m 18, but should one sign if they are the ones who are going to pay for everything? Or should I just leave it blank?

Yeah, my dad will be sending it in tomorrow. No worries!

I dropped my daughter’s off at a mail box today, but it won’t be picked up until tomorrow afternoon. I signed it since she’s still 17.

Have your parents sign just in case. Why not? they are the ones paying for it!

she has to sign it too even if she is a minor i think

True. Mine signed it.

Nope, under the law they are an adult once they hit 18. Parents signatures are not necessary and btw, unless your s/d provides you access, you will not see the tuition and housing bills that come in via the my.calpoly portal. It’s their responsibility to get them paid. Health care is another issue you might want to look into. For instance, once 18 they must select a ‘primary care’ physician under most insurance plans plus you will find that you no longer have access to their medical records or have any say about what they do or don’t do. I, of course, have learned this and more - credit/debit cards are lots of fun - the hard way.

It’s almost scary, isn’t it?

That’s an excellent link. Thanks.
I doubt very many parents, much less their kids, are aware of this (certainly the schools provide nothing to prepare us) until they run head on into a problem.
