I sent mine in the beginning of May (the 2nd?) and Berkeley still has not received it.

Has anyone received a confirmation that Berkeley has in fact received their respective IGETC?

Has anyone received a confirmation that Berkeley has in fact received their respective IGETC?

I didn’t know that we had to send it…it doesn’t say anything about that on my checklist. Just CC transcripts :/

same. When I did my IGETC, it just said that I met the requirements prior to some date. do you have to send it to UC separately?

You can send it either with your final transcript or just by itself.

I emailed my AO yesterday, and she said that the Berk admission office hasn’t received my IGETC cert yet…which is piissing me off because I sent it May 2nd too. Obviously, De Ana fuucked something up. So now I have to wait until Tuesday to march down there and see what the hold up is -________-

wait… IGETC certification is a separate document?
My CC transcripts just says it on the bottom “IGETC completed in Fall '10” or something like that.
Do I have to request something else besides this?

Ugh I’m gonna have to call them on Tuesday I guess. Did anything specifically say you had to send it? There’s literally nothing on my app website that indicates they would need that. I don’t even think I checked the igetc completed box on my original app because the math I took only counts for other UCs, not Berkeley. Is there someplace besides my checklist where it says that?

^Is there an IGETC-approved math course that Berkeley doesn’t accept for IGETC? It’s my understanding that IGETC is uniform across all campuses.

No at my CC I took college and matrix algebra, which says it satisfies Q and R for *most UCs. I didn’t realize that until I filled out the supplemental berkeley apps after the main UC one and it wasn’t articulated.

Yeah, there’s a portion in the Conditions of Agreement about IGETC:

“Official Full IGETC Certification, if you are completing (or did complete) the IGETC pattern of general elective courses at a California Community College. Request official certification from your community college and submit it with your final, official transcript or have it mailed separately to our office by January 20, 2012. See a transfer counselor at your community college for important deadlines.”

i.e., it can be on your transcripts or a separate document. (I’m a Spring 2012 admit, so the January 20 deadline probably doesn’t apply for those of you headed out in the fall.)

Oh wow yeah I just went back and re-read my conditions letter and it’s there. Thanks for the heads up. I have no idea why they might not have received other ones yet though unless they just wait to do it at the same time as final transcripts.
