I was deferred to MIT RD from the EA pool. There are only two things about my applications that I feel are potentially weak. One, my CR score (I took the SAT once and got 670 on CR but 800 on math and 780 writing with 2x 800 for SAT IIs); the second, my humanities recommendation. The recommendation is good, but I feel that I can get a better recommendation from another teacher that would give a different perspective of me. Would it be wise to send in this additional recommendation?

I think that if it shows a different perspective and isn’t going to just be a repeat of what you’ve already sent then it will be a good addition. I sent an additional rec during ea and it worked out fine for me. I think as long as you make sure that it really does show something admissions doesn’t already know about you it’ll be good.
