I know this may be a stupid question but this kid at my school told me you HAVE to send in your scores. He said that colleges don't trust the scores you put on the application.
Is this true?
Do you need pay and have collegeboard and act send in your SAT and ACT results to be accepted or even considered?
Thanks

Different colleges have different policies. I know one of my friends applied to a college that didn’t require test scores if you had over a 3.5 GPA. (It’s her last resort safety school though.)

Most schools require score reports from collegeboard. I doubt a (good) school would rely on just self-reported information.

Ok. Thank you very much.

Vast majority of colleges require you to send official scores from the testing agency. A continuously-decreasing minority accept the scores that appear on your high school transcript. Thus, you need to check the rules of each college to which you intend to apply.

Alright. Thank you both very much.
I’m the first born so the college application process is new to both me and my parents
