Sending my ACT scores

Hey everyone I just sent my ACT scores (a few hours ago) but ACT says on their website: Requests for sending ACT scores submitted after 12 noon (Central Time), Friday, December 22, through Tuesday, December 26, will not be processed until Wednesday, December 27. If you have an upcoming deadline, you may want to contact your college or scholarship agency to make arrangements due to the additional processing time.

Does this mean my colleges won’t receive my scores in time (I’m aiming for like Ivies btw) and would this penalize my application? I wasn’t planning on sending my SAT scores but should I send them anyway (with rush) just so colleges have something (1550 SAT vs 35 ACT)

The ACT warning is telliong you scores may not arrive at the college by January 1, and then again they may. The real issue is whether that makes any difference. For example, you mention you are applying to ivies. All the ivies accept scores that arrive after the application deadline and there is no reason for you to now rush an SAT score… That is true of most colleges but there are some that actually require scores to be in their hands by the Jan 1 deadline (and those specifically state on their sites that the due date for the test scores is the application deadline date. It is those for which you might consider an alternative, like rushing other scores.
