Sending official SAT Score Reports. What if it's late?

So on December 31 I submitted a couple of apps to the January 1st deadline schools, and I also requested for my official SAT score reports to be sent through the college board. I noticed that it takes a couple of weeks for the scores to actually be receive by the college. So, my question is that what if my score doesn’t get to the college in time? Will they still read my application and go off my self reported score, and then will they wait for the official score to arrive to them?

Bump

Likely, you are fine. For most colleges, test scores can arrive after the application deadline. In fact, a lot of those colleges with early Jan application deadlines even accept the Jan SAT test. There are a small number that want the test scores and all other application materials in their hands by the app deadline but those make that clear on their sites and even for those you are likely still fine – standard process of colleges when application file is incomplete after regular admission application deadline is to send a notice in latter half of Jan or early Feb telling you that test scores are missing and that you must send them immediately, I.e., you essentially get a second chance to send required materials.

Ok, thank you so much.

Yeah, as drusba said, you’ll be fine.
