Sending SAT and/or ACT Scores to Colleges

Hi,

Sorry this is kind of last minute, but this has been bugging me for a while, and I decided to post it to try and get some input. Last June, I took the SAT and the ACT, and got lucky (I studied a lot too) and got a 2400 and a 36(E: 35 M: 35 W: 36 S: 36 Essay: 10). Just to give a complete picture, I had taken the SAT three times before (whoops one was in 9th grade), but had never taken the ACT before. I have a couple questions, so I’ll just list them out.

  1. When I submit these scores to colleges that have the Score Choice policy, would it be beneficial to submit both scores, or would it instead be better to just save my money? In other words, is the benefit provided by submitting both scores worth the extra 12 bucks I'm paying? Since I can score choice, I think the colleges will only see my 2400 and 36 (along with SAT II scores, which I think are fine).
  2. When I submit to schools that require all scores, but for instance, don't require you to submit both tests, (Yale says applicants can pick the test they want, but have to submit all scores from that testing session) would it be useful to submit both scores, or just my ACT score. My SAT score was in the 2000's from the test in freshman year, and in the 2200's on the other two tests. (I'm really regretting taking those other two tests, as I feel I might not have been as prepared, but there's nothing I can do about it now)

Thanks a lot for your time. I know this might seem to be kind of trivial, but it’s REALLY been bugging me for a while. I hope all of you are having a great winter break so far.

You won’t get extra credit for sending both sets of scores. Pick one.

OK, great thanks.
