Hello! One of my college apps was due 12/1. The school is test optional, however, I decided to send my scores. Since I sent my scores on Dec 1st, and they’ll take a week or two for the college to receive them, will they not consider me since all of my materials were technically not submitted by 12/1, or will they wait until they receive test scores to review my app? Thank you!
Actually, if you ordered scores sent by College Board on 12/1, they have likely already been sent and received or will be by the end of this week. CB usually “sends” scores these days within a few business days after you order the by placing them in an online account that the college has with CB, with the result that sending and official receipt of scores occur simultaneously. The real issue then becomes when does that college go into its account and download scores (some do it daily, some only weekly) and thereafter how long does it take for the college to match the scores with your application account (that can also vary from one day to a week or for some even more).
As to whether the college will consider the new scores depends on college. Likely you will be fine but best way to increase the probability that you will be fine is to email the admissions office a copy of your test scores and tell the college official scores are on the way.
