If you send your SAT II scores to colleges, do they get your SAT I scores as well?

Also, is there any harm in choosing to send your SAT I scores to your top choice school before you've seen your scores (so that it is free)? They are going to see your old scores anyways if you retake, right?

Yes

Many like to know what it is before sending. If you take SAT II's later and designate those to be sent on application, SAT I will also be sent so it is still "free" (meaning included in the application fee). Also, as there are some colleges that take the ACT in lieu of both the SAT I and SAT II -- examples: Yale, Penn, Brown, Hopkins, Tufts, Amherst -- some who also take ACT may want to send only that one if SAT's are not that good.
