If colleges see a very rigorous course load senior year but don’t necessarily see the grades that you get in those classes does that boost your chances a little bit? For example my senior course load next year will consist of:
AP AB Calc maybe BC (any recommendations on which one to take?)
AP Physics II
AP Microeconomics
APMacroeconomic
AP Latin IV
AP Language Literature
AP Government
(The only reason you don’t see AP Chem on that list is because I’m taking that this year)
How many class period do you have lol. Anyways, this is in the wrong thread. As far as what colleges want to see, they only want continued or increased rigor in your schedule. No, you don’t have to have all AP’s (I’m doing so because i only have 7 periods), but it needs to be significantly impressive relative to what your school offers. In your case, your schedule looks very challenging so you’re fine in that aspect. If you’re asking about colleges not seeing your grades, if you apply ed/ea, they won’t(but you better keep them high so avoid getting a rescind). If you apply RD they may ask for a mid year report.
@princetonboii ok thanks, and in regard to the number im taking with respect to my number of class periods, AP Macro and AP Micro and AP Gov are all 1 semester courses so I still have some open slots
You know, that’s one of the things I’m really worried about. Junior year, my course load is –
AP Microeconomics
AP Macroeconomics
AP English Language and Composition
AP English Literature and Composition
AP U.S. History
AP Statistics
Spanish 3-4 H
But no college is going to see that I took AP Calc BC, AP Calc AB, AP Chem, AP U.S. Gov, AP Compsci, or AP World. Or any of my older classes when they ask for my classes.
Honestly, my grades aren’t too good, either. My unweighted GPA is like a 3.2. Did I screw myself over by taking those classes too early?
