senior course load

I will be a senior this fall, but still have some trouble choosing my courses.
I want to go to Ivy schools, especially MIT.
The problem is that i have self-study many APs, such as psy, sta, physics c, so i don't have much options now.
I plan to choose:
AP English literature
AP English language
AP Japanese language (a foreign language to me. I am not a Japanese)
AP World history
So i still need two more courses now. I have self-study Chemistry and Environmental science (for siemens) and got 5. If i choose these two courses to study them again in school, will college fell strange or something?
The only other optioins my school offers and i havn't study are european history and u.s politics. But i really don't like these social studies and i heard that they have many activities.
So what should i do? I need some advices.
Thanks.

“I’m not a Japanese” lolol

If you’ve already received 5s on AP Chem and AP Enviro, there is no point in retaking those classes. Could you try dual enrollment at a local community college to take classes like multivariable calc, organic chemistry, or linear algebra?

Yeah, I have find one calculus class in a local university, but it is too expensive and it will take me too much time to go there every day.
So what will the college think if i retake AP Chem and AP Environ? I mean, especially for Chemistry, though i study by myself, i personally think that i miss many things, such as experiments and that i need a better understanding of the material. But i just worry about will college think that i slacken myself.
And what about choosing AP european history to substitute enviro? Will that be better?

MIT’s not an Ivy school (thank god), just so you know :D

Are you saying the only AP options left are European History and US Politics, or that those are the only classes left, period?

If those are the only APs left, and you don’t want to take them, go ahead and take some regular classes in subjects that interest you. MIT’s not going to think less of your application for it, especially since you’ve already proven a good amount of drive by self-studying these exams and acing the tests. If you got 5’s on the AP exams, I wouldn’t worry about missed understanding, unless your school is known for going much more in-depth about the subjects than the AP exams do (but this seems unlikely).

Note that I am specifically talking about how I think MIT will handle things. This has no bearing on the other schools you’re applying to.

There seems to be no regular classes that interest me. (I made a mistake and choose many regular classes in my junior year that ought to be taken in senior year. My school don’t allow me to change a course at that time, so i had to study those APs by myself.)
What about math tutoring? I might probably choose it. So if compared with math tutoring, is AP Enviro better?

To the OP:
You’re planning to take 2 AP English courses, 1 AP Japanese course, and 1 AP history courses. You need 2 courses to fill your senior year schedule.

You haven’t mentioned physics at all in your post, and your only mention of calculus is to say you’ve found a college course, but it’s too expensive. I suggest you use MIT’s OCW and self-study physics and calculus, then sit for the AP tests in those subjects. That would be good preparation for MIT, in any case.

Oh, I have finished AP Calculus and AP Physics C.

So should i choose math tutoring instead of AP Environ? Will that be better?

I think you should go for either APUSH or Government…

(Also, you want to take both language and lit at the same time?)

Im pretty sure he does not want to take orgo senior year lol, that would be hell.

AP Environ or math tutoring are both completely acceptable. Take what you want. (Really, it sounds too much like you’re trying to form yourself to MIT, and that’s not good.)

All right, I will probably take Environ. Thanks.
