Senior Grades

I was admitted RD. My school is on a quarter system. I have never had anything other than an A on my transcript. When I was accepted, my letter said that a significant decline in grades would warrant a potential rescind from Yale. For first and second quarters of senior year I had all As and one B+, but third quarter has been very hectic and I have dropped to a couple of As and 5 B+. Fourth quarter I am expecting to pick many of those B+ back up to As. My final grades will most likely be all As. Will this general decline in just third quarter grades warrant a letter from Yale? Or are they more focused on my final grade in the class, even though they will see all four quarters?

In other words...what constitutes a significant decline? I read on this website that a student went from all As to mostly Bs received a warning letter and now I am concerned...

I think you’re in the clear. A significant decline would be, at the very least, accumulating a few B-s, or some Cs… But all As by 4th quarter? You should be fine.

Should I send a letter to Yale along with my final transcript indicating that I intend to work hard next year? Or should I do that only if/when they contact me about the grade decline?

A few Bs are fine, chill

No, don’t send a letter. they have enough to deal with as it is at the moment…
