I can't seem to find the G.P.A requirements for undergraduate freshman concerning senior grades. I've heard it's an unweighted 3.0 G.P.A Does anyone have other information. (Per semester or entire year, do they check every single transcript and weed out the <3.0's, what happens if there's a "significant drop" in G.P.A but it doesnt fall below a 3.0, etc.)

im pretty sure as long as it's an unweighted 3.0 with no F's, youre okay...

"To maintain our offer of admission, you must meet the following conditions:

Complete all senior-year courses listed on your application (including any external examinations) with an overall unweighted B average for each term and no grade lower than a C. Immediately notify us, in writing: if you did not meet the grade point average condition for any term of your senior year; or of any changes to your senior year class schedule."

This is one of the conditions after you submit your SIR, so i guess don't go under a "C" senior.

C- count as C ?

just curious :D

An unweighted GPA of 3.0 would mean that you would have to maintain a B average.

What would Berkeley do, if someone got 3 Bs and 1 C or 4 Bs. and 1 C?

They'd consider rescinding your admittance. Aka, they can kick you out even after you'd registered for classes etc :P

Well, it's hypothetical. My high school is actually added my quarter grades to my transcript.

I received: AP Gov(2.5 credits): A
AP Cal(5 credits, weighs more): B

I'm assuming my unweighted GPA for that quarter was 3.33. Weighted, it was a 4.33.

in my school, there are no credits... all classes, from PE Dance to AP Cal are considered the same... >.<

But I'm thinking it's your UNWEIGHTED UC GPA that counts :P

Since that;s all they bother looking at ^_~

It's too bad they only consider your unweighted GPA. A weighted GPA would give me less pressure. However, AP tests are coming up, so most of my class grades will freeze by then. However, AP Lit and AP Chem continue.

would they really consider rescinding your admission if you got a C? doesnt gpa count more than the actual letter grades? they said 3.0 un weighted & nothing about C's? just no F's right? wow thats a lot of questions.

4 Bs and 1 C with no A's is below an UW 3.0, hence the consternation of the poster.
