Berkeley’s condition for admission is a 3.0 UNweighted. Does that mean even if I get one C (and the rest B’s) then I’m screwed? I havent gotten above a 3.0 unweighted ever over these years in high school (don’t worry, I’ll be fine by the time I’m in Berkeley). I fear this because something has always prevented me from getting A’s for some reason or another.
Two of my classes are AP, I’m guessing I have to get at least B in those classes, (although in 1st semester I did get a C in one of my AP classes).

"Complete all senior-year courses listed on your application with an overall unweighted B average for each term and no grade lower than a C. Immediately notify us, in writing: if you did not meet the grade point average condition for any term of your senior year; or of any changes to your senior year class schedule."

keyword I think is "overall" so as long as your GPA in all your classes is a 3.0 you're fine? Also I noticed that they don't say "UC approved courses only" like UCI's contract...so I guess my woodshop and yearbook classes still calculate into this "overall" gpa? Hopefully =P

lol, I've had above a 4.0 for the last 3.5 years of high school. Just this semester UNweighted I have one C in AP Calc. Senioritis! I'll probably still have a 4.0 WEIGHTED but unweighed probably 3.8 or something or other. WTH is with UNweighted grades anyhow? makes me wish I took st00pid classes! freakin 4 AP's....

GPA is irrelevent. Really. Any college better than a CSU will look at the classes you took in relation to what your school offered. With the range of schools across the country, GPA is a very variable scale. It doesn't measure very accurately.

Do they by any chance factor in the how well your school places in the API and national rankings? Because at some schools, classes are MUCH harder then they are at other schools.
