<p>Here are my stats:
SAT: 2190 (790 Writing, 760 Critical Reading, 640 Math)
SAT US History: 790
SAT Math I: 660
AP European History: 5
AP Literature and Composition: 5
Taking 4 AP's this year.
Took 2 Syracuse University courses: A+ for both.</p>

<p>UW GPA: 3.5. Weighted GPA 95.
Class rank (school won't release exact rank - only by decile): Top 30%, but I had to move schools during high school etc.</p>

<p>Extracurriculars
- Summer courses at an Ivy League university - extremely strong recommendation from the professor i.e. "I recommend this candidate to any university without hesitation" & "one of the best written essays from any high school student ... would get an A at the undergraduate level".
- Club leadership and student government.
- NHS & NHS Media Coordinator
- Internships and elected positions within well known organizations where I was the only high school intern - the other interns were entering/in grad school. Good recs here as well.
- Teacher/GC recs. extremely strong as well.</p>

<p>You have a low gpa, low sat and low sat2s. also your ecs are pretty weak. keep in mind that kids who get into Stanford columbia duke and rice are mostly top10%, 2250+, and 2 SAT2s with 750+. I am not saying that you don’t have a chance. It’s just that with your scores it’s harder. </p>

<p>Let me give you an example.
My cousin applied to Stanford Columbia, Yale and other schools. She had a 2050 SAT and 780 on French SAT, 700 on Physics. She was in IB school and took a tough courseload with a 3.95 unweighted. She had poor ec’s. She also had ok essays. But, her dad is the CEO of a Fortune 500 company and he had some pull. She got into only Stanford out of all 11 schools she applied to.
Unless you have a great hook its hard to get into these great colleges.</p>
