I was wondering if colleges prefer students to take BC during high school or if it would make an impact on admissions. Since I got a A in pre Calc honors, they are giving me the opportunity to skip AB. I am trying to apply as a business/econ/psych (haven’t decided which) major to the UCs and USC. Other then this predicament, does this Schedule look good?
English
AP Econ (semester)
Religion (semester)
AP Stats
AP Calc AB/BC
AP Psych
Photo II (semester)
AP Environmental Science
Current junior year schedule:
AP English Literature
AP Physics I
AP Computer Science A
Pre Calc Honors
US History
Religion
If you’ve been recommended for BC you could take it, the rest of your schedule isn’t tooooo hard.
Which universities are you aiming for?
Do you have world language up to level 3? 4? (5-6)
I’d take AB. I got over an 100 in precalc and took bc. I wish I had taken ab. My school is an ab or bc school, not ab then bc. Lots of people are in similar boats to me. I have friends who took ab instead of bc and they loved it.
Is this because of a certain teacher though? The BC teacher at my school seems to be pretty good. But same with the AB ones though. The bad math teachers at my school are the geometry and algebra II ones.
