Senior Schedule Difficulty?

I've had a solid GPA all my 3 years, I've only gotten a few B's & they're all in AP/honors classes anyways. This year was EXTREMELY difficult, I am on the verge of getting my first C (in pre-calc). I am in 3 AP classes (English Lang, Psych, and US History), Honors Pre-calculus, and an extra elective of Anatomy this year, and after being way too stressed out this year, I decided to lower my load. Here's my schedule for senior year:

AP Stats
AP German
AP Economics
Contemporary Issues (1 sem)
Humanities (1 sem)
Film analysis (1 sem)
Culinary (1 sem)

I tried to still maintain some AP credits, but I really wanted to lower the load so I don't have as awful of a load as I did this year. I want to go to U of Miami and was a little concerned that because I didn't take AP calc or AP lit I might appear lazy, do you think I will be looked down upon for this at Miami? I know their admissions are somewhat competitive; hoping someone could give me some advice on how to deal with my schedule for next year. Thanks!

I haven’t specifically researched U of Miami, but I have never heard of a college that doesn’t expect its applicants to have taken 4 years of English. If you want a lighter load, at least consider taking English at an honors or regular level.

If you’re intending on majoring in a STEM field, AP calc would give you competitive edge. The highest math you take in high school is a huge indicator of how well you’ll do in college. If you’re not majoring in STEM, AP stats is totally fine.

Should’ve clarified- Humanities & film analysis are my English classes for senior year, both at nor
