I've begun planning my senior year.... I'd just like the opinion from some CC users as to the difficulty of my potential schedule. (and if I should change/add/remove classes)

AP Calculus
AP Computer Science
AP Physics
AP Statistics
English 12
Spanish II

Not too hard by CC standards, could be too hard by your own standards though. Each class has different work loads at my school. At my school, AP Calc (AB and BC) are not work intensive, but are very tough, same goes for AP Phys. AP stats is easy with minimal work, and we don’t have AP comp sci. Since you’re taking primarily low work load AP courses (based on what they’re like at my school), you should be able to handle the work.

At least at my school, AP Comp Sci is EXTREMELY easy…the teacher doesn’t ever give homework which is awesome. Though at my school the AP Physics and Calc “AB and BC” are considered the hardest.

English 12 prob would be easy being a regular course, same with Spanish II…and AP Stats I “hear” is easy.

I personally think your schedule is just right, not impossible but not easy.

Uh, I’d say your schedule is pretty hard by any standard (unless you are attending a school like Thomas Jefferson High sChool MS); AP Physics, Computer Science, and Calculus are arguably the hardest AP exams.

But by any means, go for it if you are smart enough and motivated enough to succeed and do the work! Don’t let those classes’ reputation dissuade you.

I definitely want to do AP Calculus and AP Computer Science. Looking at the AP exams though, I’m beginning to be more skeptical about taking AP Physics. Has anyone here taken AP Physics?

AP Physics C is difficult and involves some calculus. AP Physics B is like a introductory physics course for non-STEM majors who just need a “I touched science” class.

I’m currently taking AP Calculus, AP Statistics, AP Physics C, AP US Government, and AP English Literature. The amount of work will depend on your teachers - my English class gives the most busy-work while Physics needs the most time to actually understand.

I’m a junior in both ap compsci and ap calc. These are my two favorite classes and I don’t know how much compsci you already know, but the ap is all java and the most challenging stuff on there is polymorphism and inheritance. We mostly do work outside of the classroom and just chill during the day because there’s only a few kids on the class, but having known java before I took the course really made everything much easier. As for calc, it’s definitely not easy, and I study a good hour for it every night, but I think it’s much more fun than any other math I’ve taken. It’s really rewarding to known how to do this math, and not at least in my opinion, not taking calc would be a huge mistake. Goodluck man. By the way I’m in a few other Aps as well but those definitely take up more time than these two
