Senior Showcase

Hey guys,

I am a Senior this year at my high school and we got permission from the administration to do a senior showcase this year... the first ever for the vocal magnet for my school!

So we got permission and now are just trying to do some pre-planning... can anyone give any tips on how to structure a showcase? I figure pick a theme, and choose songs accordingly with gimmicks and games in between.

I have seen some where the students just stay on stage and come up one after another and others with skits leading into songs... there is about 10-15 of us and we just want there to be a cohesive feeling with the showcase.

We will have about a 1:15-2 hours to fill and will have intermission with local food and low-key entertainment by the string quartet,2 barbershop quartets, a capella octet spaced over 10-20+ minutes

I know its weird to have a showcase for high school but its purpose is:

an assessment; we will be evaluated and commented on by major local theaters and college professors.

scholarship; 6 of us are pursuing MT or VP so we will fund raise and what ever money will be divided between us... between fund raisers, tickets, donations we will earn a projected $15,000 (figure based on 4 year history of past profits, and donations and a scheduled year of fundraising)

promotion; promotion of talent and for the school's magnet program

Any comments or suggestions about showcases, your past experiences would be greatly appreciated...
