Schools with showcases

<p>Hi all! The OCU MT class of '09 is looking to start an NYC showcase by our Sr. year. Many classes have tried before us and failed, so we're trying to gather as much info as we can. If you/ your S or D go to schools with showcases (or something similar), we would be extremely grateful for any help with the following information: </p>

<p>What is the format of the showcase?
How much time does each performer get?
How does the program choose who gets to go, and who chooses?
Who directs the showcases and what are their relation to the University?
What theaters do they use in NYC?
Does it cost the students money to put on the showcase?
How do the students make the money to put on the showcase? (Is there a backer? Is it through fundraising? Is it part of tuition?)
And any other information that is pertinent.</p>

<p>Any info you would get from me would probably be the same as psucats info since BW and PSU do their showcases together. There are tons of senior showcase clips on youtube I would start by looking there to get ideas of what other schools are doing. But if you have any other questions PM me. Good luck!
