So a friend of mine's son isn't taking the december ACT test, but plans on taking the Feb. test. He's a senior and applying to top schools and a few ivies. He has awesome ec's and rec's, and a gpa that is in the range for his schools. Also, he is very smart and has taken 2 or 3 practice tests....all scoring in the 33-34 range. If he sends in his Feb ACT scores...will he still be able to get accepted? Will he have a chance if he gets in the 33-34 range?

And he can't do standby tomorrow due to a scheduled surgery.

*I'm trying to help out a friends so please just don't ramble about how he should have taken the test before now. Thanks!

best bet is to call the schools themselves, each school has a different deadline. Majority that I know of do not take anything after January. But again best call the schools, or go standby tomorrow am just in case.

lol, don't you hate it when people don't listen???? Anyways, I think the only way to get passed this is to call or email the schools themselves and tell them that your son had surgery the day of the ACT and wasn't able to take it, has been looking forward to college all his life, this and that....and then just see if they'll accept it.

"unfortunately he can't go standby tomorrow (he has a surgery)"
hahaha

I think only having taken tests this upcoming february is a stupid decision on his part because automatically multiple schools are ruled out of being accepted to.

Are you serious? CALL. Don't expect someone here to do your work for you. Call or see if you can get some infor this wkend by looking in one of the college books that says. I know that Yale clearly states to what dates they will accept test scores.
