Senior Year: AP Calc BC or AB?

I’m going to be a senior next year and I don’t know if u should choose Calc BC or AB?
Right now I’m taking Trig/Analytic Geometry and I’m doing extremely well. My first semester grade was a 91 and I got a 93 on my midterm. However, last year I took algebra 2 and got low B’s (in the 82-85 range).
I got recommended for BC, but it was just based off of my grades this year. I’m scared that it’s going to be extremely hard because I’m not AMAZING at algebra…
Any thoughts?

If you got recommended for BC, then your teachers obviously believe you can do the work. You honestly can, you just have to put time and effort into it. AB vs. BC is really a personal choice. It should be manageable if you put in the extra effort, attend tutoring if needed, get a prep book to work through, etc.

You don’t have to be amazing at algebra for calculus. You need to know how to do it, but once you do certain problems over and over again it’s nothing.
From what I understand, BC isn’t that much more difficult than AB. My AB class is splitting up starting tomorrow into those who just want to take the AB exam and those who want BC. The BC kids will be learning all the new material in just a few weeks, so it can’t be that big of a difference.
